Ms. Holly is one of my autobuys. I savor her books like I do my hidden stash of Godiva. Her latest, Hidden Dragons, doesn't disappoint. She transports us to her world of Resurrection, a pocket of magical creatures and fae hidden in the mundane realm of humans -- a portal between the not always so friendly fairie realm and the human's earth. While other-worldly, Resurrection still has it day-to-day challenges for its residents. How do you get the hunky were-boy you crushed on in high school out of your system when he shows up at your door a jaw-dropping, drool-worthy police detective? And just how seriously should you take your father when he tells you dragons still exist?One answer involves scorching hot love making and the other an adventure into the impossible turned reality. As always, Ms. Holly finds unique ways to plant you firmly in page-turning mode.

I admit Im getting a little tired of the werewolves, but still I loved this latest book about Emma Holly's hidden magical town.
Good characters, fun story, actually evil (and not ridiculous) bad guys, hot sex...
Holly comes through again! Quality you can count on!
Truly a funny yet romantic story. I loved that it provided us with intense adventure, mystery and suspense while also giving us a love at first sight romance story. When you find your other half, nothing can get in the way of your coming together in every sense of the word...LOL ^_^
As the latest installment of Emma Holly's Hidden series, this book does not disappoint. It has Rick Lupone (yum!), a half-Fae who looks like Snow White, lots of fairy tale references, and dragons! Did I mention Dragons??? Emma's writing is, as always, wonderful, with good prose and consistency throughout. This book also provides some of the backstory for the history of the Pocket and its creation.
The pocket was created from the death of the last Dragon. The pocket is a world that combines magic and mundane. But now there may be Dragon eggs and fairy factions are racing to find them and the keeper.
The romance is very stilted, and the female lead is really very cold. The secondary characters and the dragons kept me reading.
This series keeps getting better and better. It was great to see the beginning of Resurrection, and the twisty POV of that vs. the main story was cool. I really got invested in Rick and Cass and their relationships, not only with each other but with family, friends, and enemies.
The dragons were adorable!
There was plenty of conflict, both personal and not, whose intersection made the story deeper. And of course, the book was hot, hot, hot! I could have happily read much more about these characters and their evolving situation, but the book ended in the right place. Can't wait to see who takes the stage in the next one!
I got hooked on Emma Holly's writing when a friend recommended Ménage and I have devoured just about every book sense. When I started the Hidden series I wasn't sure about the paranormal aspect, but I fell in love with the Pocket and its many characters. In this latest installment werewolf Rick and half-fae Cassia (Cass) reignite a high school crush in this suspense battle filled story. I loved how the characters learned about their own insecurities from early childhood and how to adapt their lives to live happily in the now. Thank you Emma for another fantastic story from the Pocket and I cannot wait for Hidden Passions to see how you write Tony's story without a female lead.
In this latest installment of Emma Holly's Hidden series we find out how Resurrection (that pocket of reality that is part Fairy and part human) came to be. Werewolf cops Rick and Tony Lupone are on the way to work when a call comes in about two pureblood fae fighting with swords. They are closest and take the call. When Rick comes upon one of the fae who is dying she tells him that he has been chosen to protect the woman who is to be the Keeper and his failure to do so might mean the destruction of Resurrection. When he finds out that the woman he is to protect is the half-fae he had a crush on in high school the job doesn't look too bad. Cass Maycee doesn't know what to think when high school hottie now Detective Rick Lupone shows up on her doorstep but she isn't kicking him to the curb either. It appears that Rick and Cass are going to have to solve a mystery and keep the bad guys from unmaking Resurrection and if they fall in love along the way so much the better.
This is an incredible story. Emma Holly always tells a smoking hot tale but she has out done herself this time. She makes this world real and the inhabitants mean something to you. I couldn't put this book down. Watching Rick and Cass learn to trust and love each other while on the run was at times painful and at others so erotic I blushed but always I needed to turn the page to see what happened next.
